frankly I don't understand why there can't be a PC port. It's really too bad Croteam and Climax/Global Star could work something out. which means they have the rights to the game now? I'd love some clarification. I remember after a quick google reading that Next Encounter was developed by "Climax Solvent" and published by "Global Star Software", and also reading that there was no possibility of a re-make simply because the game was contracted to a different studio. I just really want to know why there's is no port for The Next Encounter for PC. it's sitting with all the GameCube gear in a closet, begging to fill my brain with nostalgia and good times. it was my first eBay purchase ever! (I was about 8 at the time)įlash forward to today, where I have my complete Serious Sam collection nestled comfortably in my Steam account, which is something of a dream to 8 year old me. So blown away, in fact, that I bought a copy for GameCube on eBay.
As a kid who grew up on the GameCube, when I rented SS: TNE from Blockbuster, I was blown away. So, SS: The Next Encounter is my favorite game of the whole series. This subreddit is awesome, and I'm glad I found it. This is a discussion that I have always wanted to have with the fans of Serious Sam, but never found the best place to talk about it.
